Bacolod, NegOcc drug groups closely monitored

Teresa D. Ellera

THE Police Regional Office (PRO) Western Visayas, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), is closely monitoring drug groups in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental.

PRO-Western Visayas spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis, however, refused to identify the names of the drug groups yet as they are still gathering enough evidence and closely identifying the personalities involved.

"We already have the names of the members of the drug groups and we will conduct appropriate drug operations against them once solid evidence is ready," Solis said.

He said there is no let up as far as drug campaign of the PRO-Western Visayas is concerned and proof to this are the recently successful drug operations the police and the PDEA has conducted.

"Our campaign against illegal drugs continues and our operations are ongoing," the police official stressed.
