THE City Government of Bacolod will provide free live viewing of the match between Philippine ring icon and Senator Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao and American boxer Keith Thurman in MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 20 (July 21, Philippine time).

Mayor Evelio Leonardia said the free live viewing will be provided in the gymnasiums of Barangays Sum-ag, Handumanan, Mansilingan, and Villamonte.

He said there will also be a live free viewing in Barangay Singcang-Airport Elementary School, Barangay Banago Elementary School, and Barangay Granada Fr. Gratian Murray Elementary School.

"This will be the chance of the Bacolodnons to watch live the fight of Pacquiao," he added.

Leonardia noted that this time, there will be no live free viewing in Bacolod Arts and Youth Center (Bays Center) because it is still under repair.

He also said he will check his schedule if he could join the Pacquiao team in Nevada. As of Tuesday, July 16, he does not have a final schedule yet, adding that in due time, he will communicate with Pacquaio whatever his final decision is.

In Pacquiao's previous fight, Leonardia was the Philippine flag bearer of the Pacquiao team.

Leonardia said he believes that Pacquiao will win against Thurman.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
