BCPO awarded as best in police community relations

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) bested six other police offices in Western Visayas in the field of Police Community Relations (PCR) this year.

Chief Inspector Sherlock Gabana, public information officer of BCPO, said yesterday that Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas awarded the BCPO as outstanding city police office in the region for their numerous and noteworthy PCR programs that have greatly contributed to the peace and order situation, development, and initiatives of the province and forging stronger PCR partnerships.

Superintendent Leonardo Borromeo, deputy city director for operations of BCPO, received the plaque of recognition during the culmination of the 23rd PCR Month held at Camp Martin Teofilo Delgado in Iloilo City Monday, July 30.

The awarding ceremony was led by Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, PRO-Western Visayas director, and retired chief superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac as the guest of honor and speaker.

This year's theme was dubbed "Tapat na Serbisyo at Paglilingkod ng Kupulisan Kaagapay ang Mamamayan, Hatid ay Kaunlaran." (GYM)
