Case investigator Master Sergeant Robert Castro identified the victim as Elsa Calridad, 51, resident of Purok Lubi in Barangay Mambaroto.

Castro said Claridad was on her way home after the distribution of the financial aid for the victims of Typhoon Odette when the suspect Pablito Morales blocked and repeatedly stabbed her.

The victim was immediately brought to Sipalay City Infirmary but was later transfer to Corason Locsin Montelibano Regional Memorial Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City.

Investigation showed that Castro was angered when he was not included as a recipient of the financial aid. (APN)
