Bonus for capitol Employees pushed

THE Provincial Legal Office has approved the draft of the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) between the provincial government and the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE), Atty. Rayfrando Diaz said Wednesday, November 18.

Diaz said Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has already signed the endorsement of the CNA that will be submitted to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP).

It will be scheduled for approval next week during the SPs regular session.

Diaz said the approval will give way for the granting of a CNA Bonus of not less than P25,000 depending on the savings from the maintenance and other operating expense or MOOE, as allowed by the Department of Budget and Management, and the Commission on Audit.

The MOOE covers travelling expenses, communication expenses, repairs and maintenance, transportation expenses, supplies and materials, advertising, printing, and publication and subscription.

"If there are enough savings, we will recommend that they be released as CNA bonus," Diaz said.

The savings are product of the efforts of all employees to save on these office savings "that goes to them as incentive."

This week the Capitol has started releasing the 14th month pay and the Performance Enhancement Incentive (PEI) for the employees.

Earlier, Renelo Lastierre, PACE president, asked for a review of the union's appeal to grant employees the CNA.

Meanwhile, Diaz said that they are still waiting for an order from Malacañang to grant extra bonus for the employees before the year ends. (TDE)
