THE City Government of Bacolod acquired seven brand new units of Rouser Kawasaki motorcycle for the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO).

The seven new units were turned over to the BTAO on Monday, March 4, in rites led by Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Councilor Cindy Rojas and Police Lieutenant Colonel Luisito Acebuche, head of BTAO, at the Bacolod Government Center grounds.

Acebuche said the seven units, which cost almost P1 million, is an effort of Mayor Leonardia to help the traffic situation in various barangays.

“It’s a big help to our enforcers to respond in traffic congested areas as well as traffic accidents and illegal parking,” he said.

He added that only regular traffic enforcers can use the new motorcycles for accountability.

At present, BTAO has a total of 19 motorcycles.

The BTAO also requested an additional of towing truck for the towing and impounding vehicles that are illegally-parked in various areas. (MAP)
