THE Permits and Licensing Division in Bacolod City will hold the Business one-stop shop at the Bacolod Government Center (BGC) starting Thursday, January 3, Licensing Officer Stela Rose Rayos said on Wednesday, January 2.

Rayos said representatives from the City Health Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, Office of the Building Official, Environment and Natural Resources Office, and the 61 barangays will be at the BGC for the one-stop shop.

She said the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office is also expected to join the one-stop shop for the clearances of public utility vehicles and tricycles.

The standard steps in processing the business permits have been reduced to only three from the previous five.

“For those who have 2018 business permit can go directly to their respective barangays for clearances and no need to secure an application form our office. Only the new business permit application will secure a form,” she said.

Rayos assured they can release a copy of the business permit in a day as long as the clearances and payment are already finished.

Rayos disclosed that from January to December 27, 2018, they registered a total of 23,177 business establishments or with an increase of 5.33 percent compared to 22,004 establishments registered in 2017. (MAP)
