THE Commission on Appointments (CA) confirmed the ad interim promotion of Brigadier General Benedict Arevalo, 303rd Infantry Brigade Commander.

With Arevalo's confirmation are 31 other senior officials of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) which was done at the Senate on September 4.

Among those confirmed by the CA were Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana, Commander of the Western Mindanao Command, Armed Forces of the Philippines and Major General Roberto Ancan, Commander of the 1st Infantry Division, Philippine Army who both hails from Negros Island.

Congressman Genaro Alvarez of 6th District of Negros Occidental is also present as a member of the Commission on Appointments during the confirmation.
