THE Cadiz City Government is imposing stricter health and border protocols.

Mayor Salvador Escalante issued an Executive Order providing the health and border protocol for those coming from the City of Bacolod to Cadiz City.

Under the EO, all Cadiznon coming from Bacolod City and other high-risk areas in Negros Occidental, in accordance with the Department of Health (DOH) Covid-19 data, will have to undergo a mandatory 14-day home quarantine. Exempted are frontliners, essential workers and authorized persons outside of residence (Apors) provided they can present government or company identification card or other proof of qualification.

If they developed flu-like symptoms within the 14-day mandatory home quarantine, they will be transferred to the St. Andrews Healing Center in Barangay Tinampaan or at the Cadiz District Hospital, depending on the assessment of the doctor on duty.

"Cadiznons working in Bacolod City with reported positive cases of Covid-19 are required to undergo quarantine and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction testing at St. Andrews Place Park II Healing Center, Barangay Tinampa-an, Cadiz City," it said.

It also said that those who plan to enter Cadiz City from the high-risk areas are required to coordinate with respective barangay officials, midwives or barangay health workers.

The EO provides exemptions for Cadiznons going to Bacolod City and staying there for not more than three days as they will not be considered persons under monitoring.
