Cadiz officials take oath of office

GOVERNOR Eugenio Jose Lacson administered the oath of office of elected Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr., during the city’s 52nd Charter Day celebration and Inauguration of city officials held at the Cadiz City Arena, Thursday, July 4.

Second District Rep. Leo Rafael Cueva also administered the oath of office of elected Vice Mayor Lilia Decolongon, and the City Council Members namely, Lalen Lamis, John Vincent Escalante, Owen Desuyo, Warren Zaragoza, Shiela Tabanao, Marlon Metoda, Fria Cristine Cervantes–Napiza, Denia Puey–Hinolan, Cedric Jon Olvido, and Agustin Jesmar Desuyo.

“Today, I celebrate with you and I am honored to address you for the first time as your governor,” said Lacson.

He also said that he believes in the strength and capacity of each local government and he is looking forward to a more productive partnership.

Also present in the activity were former Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon, Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, and Second District Board Members Samson Mirhan and Sixto Guanzon, Jr., among others.

Mayor Escalante thanked the governor for gracing the occasion and assured him of Cadiz City’s full support to his administration.
