Capitol, Kalipay Negrense to stage musical play

THE Provincial Government of Negros Occidental and Kalipay Negrense Foundation Incorporated, the home of abandoned and abused children in in the province, will stage a musical play dubbed as “Panaad: The Promise Fulfilled” on April 18 at SMX Convention Center.

The event will be held to help in the rebuilding of Kalipay's Recovered Treasures Children's Home.

Kalipay president and founder Anna Balcells said the musical production will feature all Negrense performing artists -- Joel Torre, Kuh Ledesma, Ronnie Lazaro, Audie Gemora, Emcy Corteza, Vanya Castor and Carlos Sison.

It will be directed by Chris Millado of the Cultural Center of the Philippines with music by Jose Gentica of “Oro, Plata, Mata,” and Negrense lyricist and scriptwriter Dwight Gaston.

This musical show sets the Matinee at 2 p.m. and Gala at 7 p.m.
