NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said they target a total of 93,000 Negrenses to get vaccinated against coronavirus disease (Covid-19) during the three-day National Vaccination Days from November 29, 2021 to December 1, 2021.

Lacson said they aim to vaccinate 1,000 individuals per town per day.

He admitted that it would be impossible to meet the target set by the Department of Health (DOH), at 500,000 Negrenses during the three-day vaccination.

Acting presidential spokesman Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said November 29 and December 1, 2021, will be declared as special working days in support to the upcoming National Vaccination Days in the country.

The program will encourage more Filipinos to get vaccinated and hit the herd immunity target.

Lacson said the province is on target of hitting the herd immunity by February next year.

Recent data showed that the number of individuals getting vaccinated are increasing compared to previous months.
