A THREE-YEAR-OLD boy was killed after he was accidentally struck by a sports utility vehicle (SUV) along Valladolid town’s Barangay Poblacion, Sunday afternoon, January 27.

Police have requested not to identify the victim, who was a resident of the said place.

Traffic investigators from the Valladolid Municipal Police Station, said the SUV, which was driven by Edwin Ofalla, 43, was heading south at the time of the incident.

As the SUV executed a left turn heading towards the direction of the town’s Barangay Alijis, the SUV accidentally struck the minor.

The victim was rushed to the town’s district hospital, and later to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

The minor, however, passed away a few hours later after succumbing to his head injuries.

Ofalla, meanwhile, surrendered to police after the incident.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
