AUTHORITIES are eyeing two angles in the killing of Henry Paul Bombate in Bacolod City on January 27.

Major Elmer Bonilla, commander of Police Station 7, said Tuesday, January 31, that it could be a grudge or illegal drugs.

Bombate, 22, of Barangay Banago, was detained previously due to illegal drugs. He was released in 2019 through a plea bargaining agreement, Bonilla said.

Prior to the killing, the victim who was onboard a motorcycle was waylaid and forcibly taken by two unidentified suspects to a vehicle.

On January 27, the lifeless Bombate was found hogtied in a vacant lot in Purok Simon Guanzon, Barangay Mansilingan.

Bonilla said the victim sustained several gunshot wounds to his head and different parts of his body.

He said it’s not yet known where the victim was killed.

Police Station 7 is now coordinating with Police Station 3 to determine the identity of the suspects in the abduction within their area of jurisdiction.*
