OPERATIVES of Police Station 1 in Bacolod City are still conducting an investigation to determine who the drug suppliers of a former detainee are so they could arrest them.

Pedicab driver Lester Tindoc, 35, of Purok Dalawidaw, Barangay 16, was arrested with about P2 million worth of shabu by operatives of the Bacolod City Police Drug Enforcement Unit past p.m. Thursday, November 25.

Some 19 sachets of shabu weighing 300 grams with estimated market value of P2,040,000, the P3,000 marked money and a sling bag with undetermined content were seized from the suspect.

Police Major Ramel Sarona, chief of Police Station 1, said Tindoc was imprisoned before for violation of illegal drugs, but he did not elaborate why the latter was released from jail.

Tindoc has been under surveillance for almost a week before his arrest, Sarona said.

If Sarona is to be believed, Tindoc could be a member of a drug group in Bacolod City.

Tindoc is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 1 and he will be charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
