Diaz lays down good practices for replication in Bacolod City

SOME good practices of Negros Occidental province will be replicated in Bacolod City soon, a provincial official said yesterday, November 23.

Provincial Administrator Reyfrando Diaz II, who is also the consultant for administrative matters and systems review of Bacolod, said he met with City Administrator Atty. Pacifico Maghari III and Bacolod City Legal Office Atty. Romeo Carlos Ting in his office.

Diaz said it is not only the Capitol cab and interface of capitol employees that will be shared to Bacolod City.

“(But) I will not give that easily to somebody (because) a system requires a good manager. So, if I don't trust the manager, I will not give it,” he said, adding that both the system and personnel have to fit each other.

Diaz stressed that no matter how good the system is, if it falls on the wrong hand, it will never work.

The official emphasized that the provincial government is willing to help and assist, however the right personnel for the job has to be trained.

Diaz also pointed out that the province has developed systems through apps without much cost to it.

"We have control over the elements and features of the system. We can edit anytime and adjust depending on the needs to whatever we want to develop and incorporate," Diaz added.

He said these systems include Provincial Capitol cab, personnel information system, and procurement systems which are all digitized.

"The governor has already authorized us to share that," he said.*
