Drug suspect busted in Leyte

POLICE arrested a 34-year-old drug suspect in a joint buy-bust operation in Alangalang, Leyte Tuesday, June 30.

The suspect was identified as Aldrin Tolibas, single, a resident of the said town.

Purchased from the Tolibas was one piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing substance believed to be shabu.

Confiscated from his possession were five sachets of "shabu" and one P500 bill used as buy-bust money.

Documentation and inventory of evidence was witnessed by barangay officials and Department of Justice representative Melo Corales, according to a police report.

The operating units were from Alangalang Municipal Police Station led by Captain Arturo Salvacion Jr. and Leyte Provincial Police Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit Team 4 headed by Major Ariel Salarda, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Eastern Visayas.
