DRUG charges were filed Tuesday, May 14, before the City Prosecutor’s Office against two drug personalities who were arrested in a drug bust Sunday, May 12.

Police Major Jovil Sedel, chief of Police Station 1, said they filed violation of Section 11 of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against Eugene Jamili and violation of Sections 5, 11 and 12 of RA 9165 against Lemuel Talaman.

Jamili, 40, and Talaman, 31, both residents of Barangay Singcang-Airport, were caught selling shabu to a police undercover of Police Station 1 in Purok Mahili-ugyon in Barangay 35 on Sunday, May 12.

Police recovered from the suspects 13 sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P50,000, the P300 marked money, coin purse and drug paraphernalia.

Sedel said Alcala was identified as street level target, while Jamili was considered a high-value target.

He said in previous years, Jamili was also arrested for violation of illegal drugs, but he posted bail.

The two suspects, who are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 1, also refused to reveal the name of their supplier in Negros Occidental.
