Farmer electrocuted

A 32-YEAR-OLD farmer died of electrocution in Barangay Dancalan, Ilog on June 29.

The victim was identified as Marlon Requiso, a resident of the said barangay.

The Ilog Police reported that Clarito Requiso, brother of the victim, personally appeared to the police station and reported that his brother Marlon Requiso was accidentally electrocuted while working at the rice field.

The victim was brought to Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital Kabankalan City but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Meanwhile, a resident of Barangay Bi-ago, Binalbagan was hacked to death on June 29.

The victim was identified as Waling Martinez, 26, while the suspect was identified as Armando Martines, 43, of the same barangay.

Initial police investigation disclosed that a heated argument ensued between the suspect and the victim that resulted in the hacking of the suspect of the victim using a bolo knife (binangon).

The victim incurred multiple stab wounds that resulted in his instantaneous death.
