Grupo Progreso to host HNP, formalize alliance

BACOLOD City Mayor Evelio Leonardia said on Friday, March 22, that Speaker of the House of Representatives Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was invited to attend the campaign sorties of Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan on Monday, March 25.

Leonardia said the program will be hosted by his political group Grupo Progreso with Rep. Greg Gasataya, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran and their candidates for councilor.

The program will start at 4 p.m.

Leonardia said the HNP senatorial slate, composed of 13 candidates, will arrive with Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

The Grupo Progreso will also formalize its alliance with HNP on Monday.

HNP senatorial candidates endorsed by Duterte-Carpio are Senators Sonny Angara, Cynthia Villar, Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III and Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito; Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos; former presidential assistant Bong Go; former senators Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada and Bong Revilla; Deputy Speaker and Taguig City-Pateros 2nd district Rep. Pia Cayetano; former Philippine National Police chief director Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa; Maguindanao Rep. Zajid Mangudadatu; former presidential political adviser Francis Tolentino, and former broadcast journalist Jiggy Manicad. (MAP)
