Guv lauds PPDC head for public service award

GOVERNOR Eugenio Jose Lacson lauded the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (PPDC) of Negros Occidental, Dr. Ma. Lina Sanogal, for receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award for Good Governance and Public Service given by the University of the Philippines - Los Baños.

The award was given to Dr. Sanogal citing her significant contribution to local development in the province through spearheading and concerting government initiatives on peace and order, gender and development, education, disaster risk reduction, culture, and health.

As PPDC, she led the reactivation of special bodies in the provincial government which helped ensure transparency and accountability of public funds that made way for projects that improved the lives of people living in the rural communities.

The award was given during the 101st Loyalty Day & 2019 Grand Alumni Homecoming of UPLB this month.

Dr. Sanogal who hails from Bago City is a BS Developmental Communication graduate of UPLB Class 1983; she has a doctorate degree in Public Administration.

Gov. Lacson said that Dr. Sanogal’s exemplary performance as a civil servant is worth emulating and an inspiration to all Capitol employees. (TDE)
