THE residence of Patient 14 who was tested positive for coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Baragay Taculing, Bacolod City is now considered an ultra-risk area.

This was stressed by Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, chairperson of Bacolod City Inter-Agency Task Force against Covid-19, after the 36-year-old woman, a resident of Barangay Taculing, was tested positive for the virus on Friday.

Familiaran said only the house of Patient 14 was put on lockdown because their area was also secured.

Policemen and village watchmen were also deployed to monitor and secure the area.

Familiaran said the City Health Office already conducted the contact tracing and all of them will undergo the swab test including her family members.

Patient 14 was a former frontliner from the Department of Education (DepEd) and is currently an importer/exporter of essential goods.

She underwent the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) on May 22 and its result was released on May 29.

Familiaran said Patient No. 14 was asymptomatic with no travel history.

"Let's cooperate and disclose the travel information to prevent the spread of the virus," he said.

Meanwhile, four houses in Purok 13, Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City were also tagged an "ultra-risk area" after its 77-year-old resident experienced a symptoms of Covid-19.

Arturo Parenno, chieftain of Barangay Mandalagan, said in Aksyon Radyo interview the four houses are now on lockdown while they are waiting the result of the swab test of the 77-year-old male who earlier experienced difficulty in breathing.

He said the barangay will give assistance to the affected families in the area.
