NEGROS Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. said that the report of the panel tasked to investigate the controversial Animal Hub will be out today.

Provincial Administrator Lucille Gelvolea earlier said the report will be out on June 15, but it falls on a holiday.

Lawyer Mary Ann Lamis of the Provincial Legal Office, who heads the panel, won't reveal the progress of the investigation.

She won’t also say if someone will be suspended as a result of their investigation.

The controversial construction of Animal Hub was discovered after a complainant pointed out the structure didn’t undergo any bidding process.

A Capitol supplier, Eva Reso-or, has claimed responsibility for the construction which is already about 80 percent complete that costs about P4 million. But she refused to name her financier.

Marañon has not given initial information about the result of the investigation but has stressed the report will be out today.
