Loan officer survives shooting

A LOAN officer of Dungganon Bank Inc. was injured after he was shot by two unidentified assailants at Corner Dona-Juliana San Sebastian Street, Barangay 33, Bacolod City Thursday morning, February 13.

Police identified the victim as Andrie Bon, 30, of Barangay Blumentrit, Murcia.

Police Captain Elmer Bonilla, chief of Police Station 6, said that Bon was about to open his Honda civic vehicle when the unidentified gunman fired at him twice.

The victim sustained wound on his right face and was rushed to the Riverside Medical Center while the gunman and his companion, who were on board a motorcycle, fled.

Bonilla said that based on the closed circuit television (CCTV) camera footage, the suspects were wearing helmets and so they are having difficulty identifying them.

He said they are looking into work related and personal grudge as possible motives in the attempt to kill the victim.

He added they are still conducting further investigation to identify the suspects who will be charged for frustrated murder. (MAP)
