Man dead, another injured in a 2 shooting incidents

AN UNIDENTIFIED man was found dead while another was injured in a separate shooting incidents in Negros Occidental Tuesday, December 4.

In Kabankalan City, a 40-year-old man, who was wearing a blue jersey and maong shorts, was found lifeless at the roadside of Barangay Camingawan at 10:45 p.m.

The victim succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds on his back and head. Both his hands were tied.

A witness saw a white pick-up truck on its way to Mabinay road from the area where the victim was found.

Police recovered from the scene five fired bullets of .45 caliber pistol.

In Murcia town, Jeffrey Ibañez, 39, of Barangay Blumentrit was injured after he was allegedly shot by his older brother, Dionelo, 42, in his residence.

Chief Inspector Roberto Indiape Jr., town police chief, said the victim and the suspect were having a drinking session when a misunderstanding ensued between them.

The victim was rushed to the hospital.
