A 37-YEAR-OLD man was injured after he was hacked by his neighbor at Puork Tahong, Barangay 2, Bacolod City Wednesday evening.

Police identified the victim as Junmar Amantillo, of said village.

Police Captain Leo Estopa, chief of Police Station 2, said Amantillo sustained multiple wound when Franklin Pihilan attacked him using a bladed weapon.

Investigation showed that Pihilan was having dinner with his family inside their house when Pihilan arrived and attacked him for unknown reason.

The victim was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital while the suspect fled.

Estopa said they are eyeing personal grudge as possible motive in the incident.

He said the victim is now in stable condition and they are still conducting a follow-up operation to arrest the suspect who may be charged for frustrated homicide. (MAP)
