Man killed, another wounded in Bacolod shooting

A MAN was killed while another was injured in a shooting incident in Purok Kawayan, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City Tuesday morning, November 5.

Police identified the fatality as Mark Alob, 29, of Purok Lilang, Barangay Banago. Injured was Ryan Albarico, 33, of Purok Kawayan, Barangay Banago.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said Alob was standing along the footwalk at Purok Kawayan when Fritz Diosanta, 29, of Purok Baybayon, Barangay Banago, fired at him for unknown reason and fled.

He said Albarico was also standing in the area when he was accidentally hit with a bullet on his back.

He added Alob and Albarico were brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, but Alob did not survive.

Police Station 3 is still conducting investigation to determine the motive and to arrest the suspect, who’s still at large.
