Man nabbed for loose firearm, ammo

A MAN was arrested for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition in a police checkpoint at Barangay 1 in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Thursday, January 10.

Police identified the suspect as Richard Kilay, 37, of San Jose Manjuyod in Negros Oriental.

Kilay was riding a black motorcycle without a plate number when he was flagged down by police. However, he ignored the police which prompted them to chase the suspect.

Police seized from him a homemade Smith and Wesson caliber .38 revolver loaded with six ammunition.

Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit.
