Man stabbed in Moises Padilla

A 41-YEAR-OLD resident of Barangay Odiong, Moises Padilala died after he was stabbed by another person Thursday, May 30.

The victim was identified as Jiovannie Garcia, 39, while the suspect was identified as Pacifico Angel, 41.

Police said the stabbing incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 30, in Sitio Ba-og, Barangay Odiong, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.

Garcia sustained a stab wound on his abdomen. He was rushed to Isabela District Hospital for medical treatment but was declared dead on arrival.

Angel, meanwhile, fled after the incident, bringing along with him the weapon used.

Garcia's cadaver was brought to a funeral parlor and will be subjected to an autopsy, said police.
