BACOLOD City Mayor Evelio Leonardia is asking the cooperation of his constituents to address the drug problem in the city.

This, after an estimated P3 million worth of illegal drugs were seized in a drug bust in Barangay Mansilingan on Wednesday, December 5.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Mylane Khate Arroz, 38 years old.

Police recovered from Arroz three sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 20 grams, the P500 marked money, P1,000 in cash, cellular phone, and a canister.

“We are hopeful that all the drug pushers will be arrested and we need the cooperation of the community to address this problem,” Leonardia said.

“We can report to the police if there are unusual or suspicious activities within their barangay,” he said.

The mayor encouraged the public to help the police to neutralize the drug personalities in Bacolod.
