Minor hurt in Barangay 31 stabbing

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was injured after he was stabbed on Tanduay Street, Barangay 31, Bacolod City Tuesday afternoon, December 17.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said the victim (name withheld for being a minor) sustained wound on the right side of his body after he was attacked by Anton Flores, 19, of Purok Sigay, Magsungay, Barangay Singcang-Airport, following an altercation.

Investigation showed the victim and the suspect was walking along Tanduay Street at about 3:05 p.m. when a heated argument ensued between them. Flores suddenly punched the victim and stabbed him using a kitchen knife.

The victim was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital while the suspect was also arrested in follow-up operation at Barangay 31.

Police recovered from Flores’s possession a kitchen knife measuring nine inches.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 6 and facing charges. (MAP)
