NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson issued on Thursday, July 22, 2021, an executive order (EO) implementing more stringent protocols for inbound travels to the province to prevent the spread of Covid-19 Delta variant.

In EO No. 21-38, Series of 2021, Lacson stated that travel to Negros Occidental shall be subject to the following requirements: S-PASS permit, STAY SAFE.PH Application, and negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test prior to travel.

It also stated voluntary swabbing. The province will offer voluntary swabbing (Swab and Go) to inbound passengers at the airport and seaport and that the province bears the cost of the RT-PCR swab test.

Inbound passengers who avail of this service will be required to undergo facility quarantine at either a local government unit-accredited provincial facility pending the result of the RT PCR test.
