Nearly half a million worth of 'shabu' seized

NEARLY half a million pesos worth of suspected shabu was seized in two

separate buy-bust operations conducted by the police at Barangays 2 and Singcang-Airport in Bacolod City in the last two days.

Captain Paul Vincent Pendon, commander of Police Station 2, said they

arrested Mariabel Canlas alias "Bel" 46 of Purok Sigay in Barangay 2, after

she transacted to a poseur buyer past 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 17.

Pendon said they recovered 11 sachets of the banned substance from Canlas weighing about 55 grams and valued at P375,000, P1,000 in cash and the boodle money, among others.

He said Canlas, who is now detained at the police station, is considered as a high-value individual.

Meanwhile, Major Joerey Puerto reported the arrest of Kingsley Divinagracia alias "Janjan" 18, of Purok Neptune in Barangay Singcang-Airport, at about 1 a.m. Wednesday, May 18.

Puerto said Divinagracia was arrested in a buy-bust operation in the

barangay's Henrietta Village with four sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 20 grams and valued at P136,000.

Divinagracia is now detained at Police Station 8, he said.
