NEGROS Occidental has scored a 100 percent compliance on road clearing operations per recent report of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

DILG-Negros Occidental director lawyer Ferdinand Panes noted that most of the towns have attained medium compliance, while the issue with the town of Binalbagan had been straightened out and they are now compliant.

He further stated the DILG's next validation scheduled will be on December and they are hoping those who have scored "medium" will improve to "high compliance."

Panes also urged local government units to continue their road clearing operations since it is a continuing program with a quarterly validation.

During an earlier validation, the DILG gave a score of 88.3 percent to the Negros Occidental provincial government for their road clearing operations across the province.

Based on the DILG reports, Bago City, Kabankalan City, San Carlos City, Silay City, Victorias City, Moises Padilla, Murcia, Toboso, and Don Salvador Benedicto were among the highest rated in the province.
