NEGRENSES were warned of the new “budol-budol” suspects reportedly victimizing students in the Negros Occidental.

The Pontevedra Municipal Police Station, in its Facebook post, alerted town residents on this new scheme of persons with bad intentions.

The police said the target of these perpetrators were children and students who are alone in their house.

“They pretend to be part of the Department of Education and ask the students about their module,” the police said, adding that “in exchange for teaching them, they will get the gadgets and money of the students.”

Authorities urged residents to immediately coordinate with them in case they encounter the same incident or if there are suspicious persons in their community.

They may call the police through 09998171462 or report to their respective barangay council.
