NEGROS Occidental Vice Governor Eugenio Lacson said on Wednesday, January 9, his plans for 2019 including the push for more tourism programs for the province.

Lacson said the tourism program must be sustained, as he cited that the province is second in terms of domestic tourism nationwide.

“Our personnel from the tourism office will have to really come up with ideas to push forward Negros Occidental's tourism,” he said.

Lacson also said he is talking with outgoing Third District Representative Alfredo Benitez for his continued help especially in strengthening the province's economic team.

“We will actually be visited and invested in by interested parties. Hopefully, we will have big business coming in that will actually locate here in Negros Occidental. And I am confident that Benitez will help us with this,” he added.

These are just some of the things I am looking forward to right now with the goal in mind of improving the economic situation of the province that will benefit many people and small business, he said.

He added that it would be immature for him to disregard the program that is doing very well of Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., especially education, health and aid for farmers. (TDE)
