Nocppo relieves La Castellana police chief

Sunnexdesk

NEGROS Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) director Police Colonel Romeo Baleros Tuesday, June 18, ordered the relief of La Castellana police chief Police Major Robert Dejucos.

Baleros said that Dejucos’ relief was based on performance evaluation they carried out.

He said they routinely carry out evaluations of police chiefs in order to see if they contribute to Nocppo’s general accomplishments.

If a police chief passes, Baleros said there is no reason for him to be relieved of his post.

Dejucos is replaced by Police Major Fernando Somblingo, who was previously assigned under the Special Action Battalion Western Visayas based in Sagay City.

He noted Somblingo’s re-assignment is his first as police station chief. Dejucos, meanwhile, has no assignment yet, although he would be able to know which department he would be placed by July 2.

Baleros added that he is due to replace more police chiefs in the coming days as they are presently conducting evaluations at the police stations of Isabela, Binalbagan, and Hinigaran. (TDE)

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
