Nonagenarian dies as truck crashes into house in Hinigaran

A NONAGENARIAN died after a prime mover truck crashed into their house along National Highway of Barangay Anahaw, Hinigaran on February 17.

The victim was identified as Gaudencia Mapa, 90 years old, while the suspect and driver of the Prime mover truck was identified as Dionisio Joyohoy, 58 years old of Barangay Poblacion East, Candoni.

Based on the report of the Hinigaran Police Station the Fuso Prime mover truck was traversing towards north direction and upon reaching on the place of incident, the driver decided to park to check the rear portion of his vehicle.

However, the truck moved forward and fell down to the right portion of the shoulder of the road and bumped and damaged the house of the victim that also caused her instantaneous death.

Meanwhile, a man was found dead inside a banana plantation in Purok Maasin I, Barangay Dulao, Bago City on February 16.

The victim was identified as Jerry Juanitas, 28 years old, single and a resident of Brgy Canturay, Sipalay City.

Base on the report of Bago City Police Station, the victim had a heated argument with the alleged suspect identified as John Rey Pasagdan on February 10. He was reported missing and has not reported to his work since the said date.

The body of the victim sustained hack wound on his neck and was already in an early stage of decomposition when found. (TDE)
