AN ESTIMATED P176,800 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug bust operation by operatives of City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) at Purok Jose Rizal, Barangay 14, Bacolod City at about 9:38 p.m. Tuesday, November 29.

The operation also led to the arrest of Nirmla Lucot, 45, a resident of the said village.

Lieutenant Joven Mogato, head of CDEU, said yesterday the suspect was arrested after she sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer.

Police recovered from Lucot's possession 10 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 26 grams, the P1,000 marked money, coin purse and P200 cash.

Mogato said Lucot, who was identified as a street level individual in Bacolod City, was under surveillance for almost a month before her arrest.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 1.

She will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
