Over P27,000 shabu seized in Barangay 2

AN ESTIMATED P27,200 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 2 on Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2, Bacolod City Sunday evening.

The operation also led to the arrest of Rogen Baron, 26, of Barangay 2.

Police Major Sherlock Gabana, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said the suspect was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover around 7:20 p.m.

Police recovered from Baron’s possession eight sachets of shabu weighing 4 grams, drug paraphernalia, and the marked money.

Gabana said the suspect, who was identified as a street-level individual in Bacolod City, was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2. He will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
