A P370 million worth of road project that will connect Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental will soon be materialized as the groundbreaking was held September 11.

The groundbreaking of the 22-kilometer farm to market road connecting Barangays Hilaitan to Trinidad all of Guihulngan City was led by Governor Roel Degamo.

The said project will directly benefit a population of at least 12,000 from the 2 aforementioned barangays, based on a 2015 census.

This will also connect Guihulngan, Negros Oriental and Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, thus improving the delivery of basic services to remote areas affected by the CPP-NPA-NDF.

Governor Degamo was accompanied by Guihulngan City Vice Mayor Ernesto Reyes; Brigadier General Benedict Arevalo, 303rd Infantry Brigade Commander and Police Colonel Rizalito Gapas, Negros Oriental Provincial Police Director during the ceremony.
