AN ESTIMATED P40,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust conducted by operatives of Police Station 8 on Arnaldo Street, Purok Neptune, Barangay Singcang-Aiport, Bacolod City Thursday evening, October 3, 2019.

The operation also led to the arrest of Wilfredo Nedruda, 35, of Purok Mahimula, Barangay Banago, Bacolod.

Police Major Charles Gever, chief of Police Station 8, said Nedruda was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover at around 11:30 p.m.

Recovered from Nedruda’s possession were eight sachets of shabu, and the P500 marked money.

Gever said the suspect was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest. The suspect admitted that he had a supplier in Bacolod but refused to divulge further details.

The suspect was detained at the station’s custodial facility and is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. MAP
