P405,000 ‘shabu’ seized in Barangay Vista Alegre

AN ESTIMATED P405,000 worth of suspected “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 3 at Abada Escay, Brgy Vista Alegre, Bacolod City Friday morning, December 6.

The operation also led to the arrest of Hector Vivas, 23, and Eman Jimena, 53, both residents of Barangay Vista Alegre.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office, said the suspects were arrested after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police undercover at about 2:30 a.m.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession eights sachets of suspected shabu weighing 27 grams, the P1,000 marked money, digital weighing scale, and coin purse.

Pico said the suspects were under surveillance for almost a month before their arrest.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 3 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
