P500,000 worth of drugs seized

AN ESTIMATED P500,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized by the police in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 7 in Bacolod City Thursday, February 21.

Arrested was Rey Demonteverde, 21, of Sitio Sibucao, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City.

Demonteverde was caught selling suspected shabu to an undercover police at 12:28 a.m. on Thursday.

Police recovered from the suspect 11 sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), drug paraphernalia, and the P500 marked money.

The suspect will be facing charges and is now detained at Police Station 3. (MAP)

Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
