P75K shabu seized in Bacolod

AN ESTIMATED P75,000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) was seized by police operatives in Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City Friday night.

The drug bust conducted by operatives of the Silay Police Station 3 also led to the arrest of Carlo Ocampo, 32, a high-value target, and resident of Barangay Mandalagan.

The police said the suspect was caught selling shabu to an undercover policeman at about 6:30 p.m.

Police recovered from Ocampo’s possession two sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, cellular phone and the P500 marked money.

The suspect was detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 3 and is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
