PDEA busts P115K in Barangay 12

AN ESTIMATED P115,600 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug bust operation by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at the Vendor’s Plaza at Barangay 12, Bacolod City, on Monday, February 20.

The operation also led to the arrest of Remia Magdato, 56, a resident of Barangay 12, JC Dale Claire Monte, 35, of Barangay Alijis; and Benjie Panoncilio Despe, 37, of Barangay Singcang-Airport, all in Bacolod City.

PDEA records showed the suspects were arrested after one of them sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer.

Operatives recovered from the suspects' possession six sachets of suspected shabu weighing seven grams, and the P300 marked money.

The suspects were detained at the custodial facility of PDEA in Bacolod City.

They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
