PDEA seizes P306,000 ‘shabu’ in Bacolod

AN ESTIMATED P306,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement (PDEA) during an operation in Purok Sibucao, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City on Saturday evening.

The operation also led to the arrest of Jennifer Magbanua, who was the subject of the search warrant issued by Judge Egay Tupaz of the Regional Trial Court Branch 46.

The PDEA agent said in a radio interview that the recovered contraband is weighing 45 grams.

Aside from Magbanua, five persons were also arrested in the area after they were caught having a pot session inside the house.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 3 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
