PNP OIC to arrive in Bacolod October 21

PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) Officer-in-charge Lieutenant General Archie Francisco Gamboa will be in Bacolod City on October 21.

This was confirmed by Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director Colonel Henry Biñas yesterday.

Binas said Gamboa will attend the send-off ceremony of the augmentation personnel for the 40th MassKara Festival at the Bacolod Government Center.

He said another batch of augmentation personnel from Police Regional Office-Western Visayas are expected to arrive next week to beef up the existing city police force for the festival.

On Sunday, a total of 600 policemen from RPO-6 arrived in Bacolod and were already deployed to various areas especially in the city’s festival sties at the Bacolod Government Center, the public plaza, Lacson Street, and the area of Manokan Country, to maintain peace and order.

Binas said Gamboa is expected to deliver his message to the augmentation personnel and he might also visit the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo).

Gamboa is next in line in succession after PNP chief General Oscar Albayalde earlier resigned from his post.

Gamboa is the PNP’s second highest position as deputy chief for administration.

Binas said that Gamboa is also a lawyer and he is expert in administrative aspect especially on procurement.
