INVESTIGATORS are still facing a blank wall on the killing of a 47-year-old man in Barangay Bugo, Cagayan de Oro City, Monday night, April 22.

The victim was identified as Herman Patalinghog.

Police said the victim was shot to death by an unidentified gunman while he was sitting and talking with his family and girlfriend outside his house.

Patalinghog died on the spot after sustaining a fatal gunshot wound on the head from a caliber .45 pistol.

Witnesses said the assailant was wearing a black jacket and black ball cap and immediately fled on board a motorcycle after shooting Patalinghog.

Authorities said the victim was released from the Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail (MOPJ) last November for drug charges after he availed himself of the plea bargaining agreement.

Personnel of Police Station 6 already formed a tracker team and conducted hot pursuit operation to arrest the perpetrators.
