SENIOR Inspector Wilfredo Benoman Jr., head of Police Station 6, is urging a female netizen to come out, and prove her allegations against a personnel of the station who reportedly left the patrol car in front of a university, and slept inside the school's premises in Bacolod City last week.

On May 23, a certain Jaja expressed her disappointment on social media after she noticed that the parked patrol vehicle of Police Station 6 has no policeman when somebody asked for assistance on a reported theft incident on Margarita Street in the area of Libertad.

She alleged that a policeman was sleeping inside the school's premises, and left the vehicle parked outside of the school.

Benoman said they responded to a report about a stolen pedicab on that night while the other patrol car, whom the netizen claimed to have been left, was used by two beat patrollers.

He said the vehicle was usually parked in an area where policemen are conducting a beat patrol.

Benoman said he searched for the netizen on Facebook but failed to identify her.

"How can we able to contact her when she has no details or photo on her profile? She is probably a hoax," Benoman said.

However, he refused to further comment on the matter as he is waiting for the explanation of his personnel.

Benoman said it would be better if she could show and file a formal complaint for them to conduct a proper investigation on the matter.

"I will not cover up my personnel,” Benoman said, as he reiterated the reminder of Director General Oscar Albayalde, chief of Philippine National Police (PNP), to all policemen to always cater the concerns of the clients and to always instill discipline and right attitude on their work.

Meanwhile, Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, public information officer of Bacolod City Police Office said she also saw the post on Facebook over the weekend.

But, for her, it could be a fabricated story because it is impossible for policemen to leave their area while they are at work.
